Bitpay recently conducted a study highlighting four traders from different businesses using Bitcoin.
These include a gold broker, an online gift card marketplace, a domain registrar that serves as a hosting service, and an appliance retailer.
They also report that while only 0.5% to 6.5% of all e-commerce sales come from crypto transactions.
But these have helped increase new customer flow by an average of 40% over the past three years, studies indicate that stores reported an increase in online purchases. This helped bolster the number of crypto transactions on their platforms, with 11% of responding customers indicating that they were first using crypto and other digital payment methods.
“The merchants interviewed identified an opportunity to increase sales by reaching new customers who like to pay with bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies when shopping online. While crypto buyers still have a relatively small share of spending. But the perception of digital currency is important and growing. ”
Added at the beginning of the past month Just Eat, the UK’s online food delivery platform Just Eat has recently expanded its crypto family of payment methods.
